Gerard Whateley has expressed a firm view on Carlton potentially being handed a compensation or priority pick.
On SEN’s Crunch Time, Anthony Hudson posed the question relating to a draft benefit for the battling Blues.
To which Whateley strongly responded: “They had priority picks in 2005 and two in 2007.
“They had picks 1 (Marc Murphy), 4 (Josh Kennedy) and 20 (Paul Bower) followed by 1 (Bryce Gibbs) followed by 1 (Matthew Kreuzer) and 17 (Shaun Hampson) followed by 6 (Chris Yarran).
“It should have set them up for a generation to come. This is their own fault.
“There would be an outrage if Carlton was given a priority pick.”
Carlton take on Geelong tonight at GMHBA Stadium as they look to bounce back after last week's 109 point thumping against Melbourne.
