Former Richmond coach Danny Frawley has put a line through the Western Bulldogs’ 2018 finals chances.
The 2016 premiers failed to reach September action last year and look likely to miss again this season.
Frawley can’t recall a team ever falling off a cliff like this.
“I don’t think there’s been a bigger fall from grace than the Bulldogs,” he told the AFL Nation pre-game show.
“I think we all expected them to bounce back after last year like Hawthorn did after 2009.
“They’re actually going down so I think we’ll look back on this year and say what happened?”
The Dogs have been held goalless in four of their last eight quarters across their Friday night losses to Collingwood and Adelaide.
