Melbourne champion Garry Lyon has presented a challenge to Christian Petracca, saying the young Demon needs to win more of the football.
Petracca amassed just 15 disposals and kicked no goals in the 42-point loss to Collingwood yesterday, which has caused Lyon to highlight the 22-year-old’s performances.

“I’m going to put a little bit of heat on Christian Petracca,” he told SEN Breakfast.
“He has played in fits and spurts. He has moments where he looks like the best player on the ground and he looks like a player that plays at a different level.
“He doesn’t do it enough. He hasn’t been consistently getting enough of it.”
Comparisons have been made between Petracca and talented Magpie Jordan De Goey, but Lyon believes the Collingwood youngster has the advantage.
“He (Petracca) is not in the De Goey category now,” he said.
“De Goey has gone past him. I’m not sure if Christian has had a De Goey style game through the midfield.
“I know he has kicked bags of four, been best on ground, but he needs to find some footy.”
