McClure updates the Polec contract situation

Host of SEN’s Time On Sam McClure has an update on Jared Polec’s contract situation after he reported North Melbourne offered him a $700,000 deal to lure him to Arden Street.

“Port has been made to up their offer, by the way,” McClure told SEN Breakfast.

“I think Polec will sign a four-year contract worth $600,000 per year.

“So he’s going to turn down money if that’s the case.”

Former North Melbourne president James Brayshaw strongly denied McClure’s report over the weekend.

“That is the greatest lot of garbage of all time. It’s incorrect,” Brayshaw told Triple M.

However, McClure isn’t backing down whatsoever.

“I haven’t heard the comments, but I think he was talking about the figure that I talked about. He didn’t deny the offer of $700,000,” he said.

“I’m absolutely standing by it.”
