Pavlich accuses West Coast CEO of lying over golf story

Fremantle great Matthew Pavlich has slammed West Coast CEO Trevor Nisbett, accusing him of lying in yesterday’s press conference.

Nisbett stated that Fremantle’s Andrew Brayshaw, his brother Hamish and Andrew Gaff – both from West Coast - all played golf five days prior to Gaff punching Brayshaw in Sunday’s Western Derby.

“Five days ago the brothers and Andrew Gaff were on the golf course together,” Nisbett told the media yesterday.

“It’s an extraordinary situation that we all find ourselves in at the moment.”

Pavlich has made the startling revelation that the story that was told by the Eagles' chief was is in fact false.

The former Dockers captain took to Twitter to make the claim.

It just adds another layer to this saga, with Gaff set to face the tribunal tonight and is almost certain to face a lengthy ban.

Brayshaw suffered a broken jaw and three displaced teeth following Gaff’s hit.
