Collingwood’s Sam Murray is under ASADA investigation, according to AFL.com.au’s Damian Barrett.
The report states Murray recorded an elevated reading of an illicit drug, possibly after the Pies’ Round 19 clash with Richmond in late July.
If he is found guilty, it could be a four-year ban.
When detected on match day, ASADA places illicit drugs in the performance enhancing category.
Murray was withdrawn from Collingwood’s Round 22 squad last Friday, with the club citing personal reasons.
Magpies coach Nathan Buckley said yesterday Murray has issues away from the footy field, which the club is assisting him with.
