St Kilda has entered the race for Port Adelaide’s Jared Polec, reportedly offering him a contract that trumps North Melbourne’s high-money deal.
“North were the hot favourites and I still think that they’re confident that will happen but St Kilda is now making an 11th hour bid and are making things very very interesting,” Rehn told Nine News Adelaide.
“This is the issue, they’ve made it even bigger, tempting Polec with an offer that we understand to be worth $800,000 dollars a year over five years.

“What that means is even if Port stretch themselves to a fourth year, they’re still $2 million short of what the Saints are offering.”
The Power conceded last week Polec is likely to depart the club. The 25-year-old averaged a career-high 25.1 disposals per game this season.
