Hawthorn great Dermott Brereton thinks there is a possibility of Richmond regulars being squeezed out to accommodate the pending arrival of Gold Coast forward Tom Lynch.
According to The Age, Lynch has nominated the Tigers as his club of choice, after deciding he would explore his options as a restricted free agent.
Brereton believes a couple of players who will take the field against Hawthorn in tonight’s Qualifying Final at the MCG won’t be at the club next season.

“Buddy (Lance Franklin) went to Sydney, so to accommodate the big million dollar plus wage, they had to lose several players - players of the calibre of Shane Mumford,” Brereton told SEN’s KB and The Doc.
“He (Shane Mumford) was on a good wage and he was a premiership ruckman.
"Richmond are going to have to lose a couple of players. You can say: ‘no they won’t, we can fit them all in’.
“A couple of players who are playing tonight will not play for Richmond next year, that’s just the nature of it.”
Lynch looks set to land at Punt Road on top of the re-signings of premiership stars Trent Cotchin, Alex Rance and Jack Riewoldt.
