Melbourne footy boss Josh Mahoney says there are no issues with All-Australian ruckman Max Gawn after he missed training today.
Gawn wasn’t the only Demon to miss today’s session, but Mahoney has clarified none of the players are dealing with fresh injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s Preliminary Final against West Coast.
KING EXPLAINS HOW DEMONS COULD MAXIMISE GAWN’S DAMAGE
“We just had a little run around and Max doesn’t do many Monday sessions,” Mahoney told SEN’s KB and The Doc.
“He is usually recovering from the game, so he didn’t do much.
“He has had a big load, big Max. We tried to get him off late in the game and he refused to come off. We got him off for the last three minutes. He will be right to go.
“Jack Viney didn’t do much and neither did Aaron vandenBerg.
“They will be training fully on Wednesday when we have an open session at Gosch’s Paddock and hopefully have as many supporters down there as we can.”
Melbourne travels to Perth later in the week to battle the Eagles on Saturday for a spot in the 2018 Grand Final.
