GWS star Dylan Shiel has nominated Essendon as his club of choice, according to numerous reports.
Four Victorian clubs had been vying to secure the services of the in-demand midfielder, but the Bombers look to have won the race for the 25-year-old.
Shiel has a year to run on his contract with the Giants and the two clubs will open talks to finalise a suitable trade for both parties.
Debuting back in 2012, Shiel has played 135 games for GWS, booting 64 goals and has developed into one of the best on-ballers in the competition.
