Report: Essendon star suffers arm injury

Devon Smith has sustained an arm injury at Essendon training today.

AFL.com.au is reporting that the reigning Bombers Best & Fairest has suffered a partial disruption of his bicep after copping a heavy knock when colliding with a teammate.

The incident occurred at a session at the Dons' Tullamarine facility, which forced the former GWS Giant from the track.

It is understood that the injury is only minor and will not impact Smith’s 2019 season.

The 25-year-old was on a modified training plan late last year and was recently easing himself back into the fold prior to this latest setback.
