Sam Kerr announced as West Coast's number one ticket holder

Matildas captain Sam Kerr is the Eagles’ number one ticket holder for the 2019 season.

Kerr received the honour at West Coast’s season launch on Thursday, replacing former Foreign Minister Julie Bishop.

The international soccer star is the sister of former West Coast midfielder Daniel Kerr.

As a lifelong Eagles fan, she was honoured to be this year’s number one ticket holder.

“I used to be in the cheer squad when I was younger,"Kerr said.

"I've been an Eagles fan my whole life so this is an absolute honour.

“I haven't got to many games in recent years as a result of living overseas, but hopefully that changes this year.”

When asked if she would consider AFLW, Kerr admitted that she could’ve followed that path if there were more opportunities when she was younger.

“If I had a bridge back then, I’d definitely be an AFLW player,” Kerr said.

“Maybe one year I’ll have a year with the West Coast Eagles. Maybe when I’m 35 or so.”

Former Eagles number one ticket holders include Dennis Lillee, Ernie Dingo and Daniel Ricciardo.
