Two-time premiership player David King believes it’s not all doom and gloom for the Demons just yet.
Melbourne has began the season with a 26-point loss against Port Adelaide followed by an 80-point smashing at the hands of the Cats on Saturday.
Despite the winless start to the season, King says the panic button shouldn’t be pressed yet.

“I know the scoreboard says what it says,” he told SEN’s Whateley.
“I just think that they need to be braver with ball in hand, step through traffic.
“There’s not a lot wrong, there really isn’t.
“It sounds crazy, but an 80-point margin can come around pretty quick when you look at these centre bounce goals.
“Don’t be panicked about Melbourne.”
According to King, the Demons got a lot of the ball on Saturday, but the way in which they used it needed work.
“The amount of ball they got, they were almost disrespectful with the football,” he told Gerard Whateley.
“It was a desire to get the ball forward.
“You can’t do that against Geelong, they’re a very organised defence.
“If you blast the ball, you may as well just go and hand it to them.
“They guard corridor down at GMHBA Stadium, they know that ground so well, but it wouldn’t have mattered what ground this was played at.
“Angus Brayshaw had 33 (disposals), nothing came of them, Oliver had 44 (disposals), nothing came of them.”
Melbourne faces the winless Bombers on Friday night in a clash that has a lot on the line for both teams.
