Terry Wallace believes it’s time Melbourne stopped looking for excuses following their 0-2 start to the season.
The Demons were unable to bounce back from their shock Round 1 loss to Port Adelaide, going down to Geelong by a whopping 80 points.

“First week it was the umpiring,” Wallace told SEN’s KB and The Doc.
“The coach came out publicly and said that he went to the umpire’s department about the way they were looked after, rather than worrying about why they lost the game.
“And now all I hear from Melbourne supporters is we had 73 inside 50s to 48, we’re on the right path. I can’t care if you had 173 inside 50s – you lost by 80 points. It wasn’t eight points, it was 80 points.
“No more excuses. The one thing that actually is true is the ugly position on the ladder that they sit. Do something about it Melbourne and stop blaming other people.”
Simon Goodwin’s men face another winless side in Essendon on Friday night at the MCG.
Since 2010, just three clubs have played finals having gone 0-2 to start the season.
