Marquee man one of three Melbourne City departures

Melbourne City have confirmed the departures of loanees Ritchie de Laet, Shayon Harrison and Riley McGree, who will all return to their respective parent clubs.

De Laet, 30, will return to English Championship club Aston Villa after scoring seven times in his one and only season in the A-League.

The Premier League winner was signed as City’s final marquee player last September.

Harrison, 21, netted four goals in 11 appearances after arriving in the January transfer window from Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur.

McGree, 20, contributed a handy seven goals for the Citizens but will return to Belgian side Club Brugge.

City also confirmed the departure of coach Warren Joyce after a two-year spell at the helm.

Bicks drilled down on Adelaide's midfield mix, and Matt Crouch's spot in the side.
