Collingwood defender Matthew Scharenberg is continuing his solid form in the VFL, amassing 33 disposals and taking 16 marks in the Magpies’ 23-point win over the Western Bulldogs today.

Scharenberg has played three games in the VFL since recovering from an ACL injury and is averaging 22.3 disposals and seven marks.

Draftee Atu Bosenavulagi also played his best game in the VFL this season, kicking two goals to go with his 16 disposals.

In his first game for Collingwood since being recruited by the club in the mid-season draft, John Noble impressed with 20 touches and five marks.

Father-son draftee Rhylee West led the way for the Bulldogs with 22 disposals, while mid-season recruit Ryan Gardner kicked a goal to go with his nine touches after being dropped from the senior side.

The Pies face North Melbourne next week at Victoria Park while the Bulldogs travel to Adcon Stadium to do battle against Port Melbourne.
