Eddie Betts has reportedly told Carlton he wants to re-join the club next season.
According to the Herald Sun, Betts has expressed his desire to be traded to the Blues after six years at Adelaide.
The 32-year-old is contracted to the Crows for another season, but it now seems certain he has played his final game for the club.
It’s understood Gold Coast had a two-year offer for Betts rejected, paving the way for a return to Ikon Park.
Gold Coast’s Jack Martin and Sydney’s Tom Papley have also been linked to Carlton as the club looks to bolster its small forward options.
Betts has booted 600 goals in 316 games and became a three-time All-Australian during his time at West Lakes.
