Brisbane has emerged as a smoky in the race for Collingwood’s Jamie Elliott, reports Telstra AFL Trade Radio’s Mitch Cleary.
Elliott is a free agent and has been linked to Melbourne and Hawthorn, with the Demons confirming today they have put a three-year deal to him.
“The Brisbane footy club are the smokies in this one. They’ve been working behind the scenes on Jamie Elliott," said Cleary.
“They’re red-hot on pursuing the free agent. The Lions are trying to add firepower to their front half.
“As it has been put to me, they are well into the race for Elliott.”
