West Coast defender Jeremy McGovern has been offered a one-week ban after striking Gold Coast’s Alex Sexton during their shock loss on Saturday night.
MRO Michael Christian graded the incident as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact.
If he accepts an early plea, he’ll miss West Coast’s crucial clash against Brisbane at the Gabba next week.
He’s also been handed a $1,000 fine for pushing Sexton into a fence during the match.
In other news, both Brisbane's Jarryd Lyons and Port Adelaide's Travis Boak have been handed for separate incidents.
