Port Adelaide players Peter Ladhams and Dan Houston have been suspended for breaking the AFL’s COVID-19 protocols.
The pair were found to have breached the protocols after inviting guests to Ladhams’ house.
After investigating the matter, the AFL handed Ladhams and Houston three and two-match bans respectively.
Port Adelaide were also sanctioned $50,000 for the breach - with $25,000 of that amount suspended which will be included in the club’s 2021 soft cap.
Adelaide’s Billy Frampton, who lives with Ladhams, escaped punishment after it was determined he had no involvement or contact with the group of people on the night.
AFL General Counsel Andrew Dillon said in a statement: “Peter and Dan know the rules and it is disappointing that they chose not to follow them.
“The protocols are in place for a reason, to protect the players and the wider community. If you make the decision to breach them, then you will be held accountable.”
