AFL 2020 club by club membership numbers revealed

The AFL has revealed this year’s membership numbers, with West Coast edging out Richmond for top spot.

The two powerhouses broke the 100,000 barrier, with a large gap to Collingwood in third place.

Carlton, Gold Coast, GWS, St Kilda and the Eagles broke their membership records.

Overall, the league totalled 992,854 members, tantalisingly close to seven figures. This is despite most members being unable to attend games because of the COVID-19 crisis.

AFLW memberships sharply rose in 2020, increasing by 49 per cent, driven by the four expansion teams.

Bicks drilled down on Adelaide's midfield mix, and Matt Crouch's spot in the side.
