Quinton Narkle is facing an uncertain playing future, with the fringe midfielder a chance to leave Geelong at seasons end.
Narkle, 22, is out of contract and understood to be open to a move if it eventuates, preferably to a Melbourne-based club.
The Cats on-baller was a chance to leave the cattery last season and for some time was up for trade. There was interest from rival clubs before the Cats decided to keep him.
But Narkle hasn’t featured at senior level since Round 6 and has not played more than six matches in any single season since he was taken with pick 60 in the 2016 national draft.
With the Cats closing in on acquiring Adelaide free agent Brad Crouch, Narkle could be one of the moving pieces at the end of the season.
