Richmond forward Jack Higgins has injured his calf during a practise match against Brisbane on Sunday, according to The Age.
The club confirmed Higgins went down with the injury during the clash, with scans set to confirm the extent of the complaint in the coming days.
The 21-year-old has played 10 games this year but hasn’t been in the senior side since Round 15.
Coach Damien Hardwick has preferred the likes of Daniel Rioli and Jason Castagna in recent weeks but Higgins’ injury would be a blow to the club’s forward depth.
In better news, Richmond is set to regain the likes of Dion Prestia (ankle), Tom Lynch (hamstring) and Shai Bolton (calf) for their qualifying final in two weeks’ time.
The Tigers ended the regular season in style on Saturday night, beating Adelaide by 44 points.
