Collingwood has made recruiting Hawthorn forward Jack Gunston a priority during the upcoming trade period, according to Fox Footy’s Tom Morris.
The report states that that the Magpies have registered their interest in securing the 28-year-old but are yet to directly contact the player.
Gunston played all but one game for the Hawks this year, kicking 31 goals and is currently contracted until the end of 2022.
In an interview with SEN’s Bob and Andy earlier this month, Hawthorn football boss Graham Wright said the club wouldn’t be interested in trading their stars for draft picks.
There’s been plenty of recent change at the Hawks, with Paul Puopolo, Ben Stratton and Ricky Henderson all retiring in the last week.
