Geelong has cruised to a 79 point victory against North Melbourne in the VFL.
The match acted as a curtain raiser for the AFL game at GMHBA stadium later in the day and several AFL listed Cats pushed their case for senior selection.
Josh Jenkins and Ben Jarvis starred for Shane O’Bree’s side with four goals apiece while Esava Ratugolea continued his return from a leg injury with 14 disposals and a goal.
The Cats dominated on ball with Zac Guthrie (26 disposals), Charlie Constable (25 disposals) and the highly rated Max Holmes (21 disposals) controlling the centre.
David Noble may look to bring key tall Tristan Xerri into North Melbourne's senior side after he impressed with a goal, 17 disposals and 23 hitouts for the Kangaroos.
Round 2 of the VFL sees North Melbourne host Frankston at Arden St on Saturday while Geelong have the bye.
FINAL SCORE
Geelong - 18.15 (123)
North Melbourne - 6.8 (44)
