Carlton assistant coach John Barker has resigned.
Barker has been with the Blues for 11 seasons and is currently serving as the club’s stoppage coach.
The report suggests he handed his resignation in to football boss Brad Lloyd on Monday for personal reasons.
Barker was happy to see out the season, but the club’s preference was for him to leave immediately.
He is not expected to be in the coaches box following the club’s bye.
Carlton has confirmed they will undertake an external review reporting to future club president Luke Sayers and the board.
Barker has served with the Blues since 2011, taking over as caretaker coach in 2015 following the departure of Mick Malthouse.
