The Philadelphia 76ers have a “steep asking price” for All-Star Ben Simmons, according to ESPN.
Following the tough fallout of Philly’s exit from the NBA Playoffs, a trade for the Aussie superstar has been expected.
Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Thursday morning that Simmons and his management are “in step with a move elsewhere”.
A trade could happen on draft night, which is this Friday, or later in the off-season.
The Athletic’s Sam Amick is reporting that Miami, Toronto and Washington are viewed as his most likely landing spots.
Trade rumours have been circulating for weeks, with one report indicating the 76ers knocked back a deal with the Raptors involving Kyle Lowry, Fred Vanvleet, OG Anunoby and the fourth pick in the draft.
Simmons and the 76ers have reportedly had very little contact since the conclusion of the season.
The Australian stated he planned on using the off-season to work on individual skill development, knocking back the opportunity to represent the Boomers at the Olympics.
