Neil Balme is set to be become Adelaide’s new football boss, according to SEN Chief Sports Reporter Sam Edmund.
Balme, who is currently Richmond’s Senior Club Advisor, rejected Adelaide’s offer last season but will make the move to South Australia ahead of the 2022 campaign.
The revered football figure told SEN Breakfast last October that a medical condition kept him from originally taking the Adelaide job.
NEIL Balme confirmed as the new head of football at the Adelaide Crows.

“I am in a position now where I’ve had a bit of an unusual medical condition and I’ve been told I shouldn’t be thinking about doing anything different and I’m going to genuinely stay at the Tigers over the next couple of years,” he told Garry and Tim in October 2020.
“I’m really pleased I’m able to say that and really pleased that’s going to happen.”
Balme has spent time at both Collingwood at Geelong and been seen as a key mastermind behind their recent successful periods.
