Jordan Lewis makes his Norm Smith Medal prediction

Four-time premiership Hawk and former Demon Jordan Lewis has made his Norm Smith Medal prediction for the Melbourne versus Western Bulldogs Grand Final on Saturday.

While both the Demons and Dogs are stacked with genuine stars of the competition - including the AFLPA MVP in Marcus Bontempelli and AFL Coaches Award winner Clayton Oliver - Lewis is looking a little more left-field and picking Steven May.

Lewis feels the battle between May and Aaron Naughton is crucial and he expects the All-Australian full back to do what he’s done so well all year, beat his opponent, and play his crucial intercept marking game.

“The Norm Smith for me is an award where you can probably cast your mind wider than the midfield group, it’s different to the Brownlow, we’ve seen players outside that area of the game win, so I think Steven May,” Lewis said on SEN Breakfast.

“His matchup with Naughton is pivotal, he can have an influence in the air, I think he’s my sneaky for the Norm Smith, at probably good odds.”

If May were to win the Norm Smith Medal it would top off an incredible season that has seen him rocket to become one of the best defenders in the competition.

The jury is still out on whether the Crows are good or not this season - (SEN BREAKFAST)
