Melbourne has announced multiple delistings just two days after winning their first premiership in 57 years, headlined by Aaron vandenBerg who will look for another club.
Aaron Nietschke, Jay Lockhart and Austin Bradtke have been delisted, with the Demons also revealing vandenBerg will seek a trade after talks with the club on Monday.
“We had to have some difficult conversations this afternoon, which is always tough but particularly tough after an exciting weekend for our club,” List Manager Tim Lamb said in a club statement.
“Jay, Aaron and Austin have all made a great contribution to Melbourne and displayed excellent character throughout their time at the club.
“We wish the boys all the best for the future and thank them for everything they have given to the club.
vandenBerg played 47 games for the Demons, while Lockhart featured for the side on 22 occasions.
Nietschke and Bradtke failed to player a senior match.
