Carlton has made the call to delist pair Michael Gibbons and Sam Ramsay.
Gibbons played 47 games for the Blues since earning a rookie spot via the pre-season supplemental selection period in 2019.
The 26-year-old played 11 games in 2021, hampered by injuries, after 36 games across the previous two seasons.
Passionate Bluebagger Andy Maher gave his thoughts on the delisting of Gibbons.
“He looked comfortable the level I reckon. They’ve obviously bolstered an area of the ground that he’s suited to. I feel for Mick Gibbons. He’s worked his backside off to get to the AFL,” Maher told SEN’s Bob and Andy.
Ramsay was selected by the Blues with pick 47 in the 2019 National Draft and did not debut for the club.
The midfielder was on the cusp of selection early in the 2021 season, but never quite broke through.
They join Marc Murphy, Eddie Betts and Levi Casboult as players to depart the club.
Sam Petrevski-Seton was today traded to West Coast as well.
Carlton has brought in Adam Cerra from Fremantle, George Hewett from Sydney and Lewis Young from the Western Bulldogs.
Jordan Boyd, Matt Cottrell, Oscar McDonald, Lochie O’Brien, Matt Owies and Luke Parks remain out of contract.
