Demons re-sign a further seven players

Melbourne has re-signed a group of seven players as they continue their off-season moves.

Key position players Majak Daw and Mitch Brown are among the signings, while Kade Chandler, Oskar Baker, Toby Bedford, Deakyn Smith and Daniel Turner have all also recommitted.

Baker and Bedford remain on the senior list, while Brown, Daw, Smith and Turner are on the club’s rookie list.

Chandler was mentioned as a possible trade target, having reportedly met with Adelaide.

Melbourne has moved fast since winning the premiership, delisting Aaron vandenBerg, Neville Jetta, Nathan Jones, Jay Lockhart and Aaron Nietschke.

Midfielder Luke Dunstan joined the club as a free agent from St Kilda.

Bicks drilled down on Adelaide's midfield mix, and Matt Crouch's spot in the side.
