Tigers and Roos complete trade to see duo swap clubs

North Melbourne and Richmond have successfully completed a trade for Callum Coleman-Jones and Robbie Tarrant, according to AFL Media's Callum Twomey and Riley Beveridge.

The Roos will receive Coleman-Jones, pick 42, 47 and a future fourth round pick, and in return the Tigers get Robbie Tarrant, pick 40 and a future second round pick.

Richmond could have taken Tarrant as a free agent but were keen to complete a trade in order to preserve the compensation pick they received for Mabior Chol’s departure.

32-year-old Tarrant will reportedly sign a two-year deal at Tigerland in what shapes as his last chance for premiership success.

Meanwhile, Coleman-Jones, 22, has signed a four-year deal to tie him to Arden Street through to 2026 after nine games in four years at Richmond.

North Melbourne has signalled they see the 200cm prospect as more of a ruckman than a forward and hope he can partner veteran Todd Goldstein before eventually becoming their number one ruckman.
