Carlton has re-signed four players to their rookie list, while another two Blues have been rookied.
Defenders Luke Parks and Jordan Boyd, utility Oscar McDonald and forward Matthew Owies have all received one-year contract extensions.
Former top 10 pick Lochie O'Brien and wingman Matt Cotrrell will be re-contracted as rookies via the rookie draft.
Parks got a few chances at AFL level in 2021 after being selected as a lockdown defender in the 2020 Rookie Draft, while Boyd was a mid-season draftee.
Boyd suffered a season ending injury in the VFL and barely got a chance to prove his worth.
McDonald similarly missed the majority of the season after impressing early playing as the sub at the start of the season. He joined the Blues via the supplemental selection period at the start of 2021.
Owies meanwhile remains on the Category B Rookie list after playing 13 games and kicking 15 goals as a small forward this season.
O’Brien and Matt Cottrell remain out of contract at the Blues as things stand.
