West Coast defender Tom Barrass has signed a five-year contract extension with the club.
The Eagles have moved to lock away the 26-year-old who was set to fall out of contract next year.
A key pillar in West Coast’s defence, Barrass has played 99 games after being selected with pick No.43 in the 2013 National Draft.
“I’m really grateful for the opportunity to play on at this footy club,” Barrass said in a club statement.
“It feels great having some security behind me and knowing that I can focus on building this list going forward and keeping the environment that’s really healthy for improvement.

“The boys are really refreshed, there’s a lot of new talent around the place.
“There’s some real good talent coming through the young fellas, and we’ve got a good list dynamic that there’s enough experience there and we can drive standards and train fundamentals, and all the young kids are sponges these days.”
Barrass, a premiership winner with the Eagles in 2018, is off the free agency list after attracting reported interest from Sydney earlier this year.
West Coast has also re-signed young midfielder Luke Edwards.
The second-year Eagle has inked a new two-year deal. The 19-year-old is the son of Adelaide great Tyson Edwards.
Edwards made his debut in Round 12 this year and went on to play eight senior games in 2021.
