Former Melbourne Storm winger Suliasi Vunivalu is reportedly receiving considerable interest from NRL clubs after a down first season in rugby union.
The premiership winner with the Storm crossed codes last off-season, signing a two-year deal with Rugby Australia and the Queensland Reds in Super Rugby.
While he is a current member of the wider Wallabies squad and initially had plans to play in the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France, The Daily Telegraph are now reporting that he could switch back to league when his deal ends at the end of 2022.
At 26, Vunivalu would return to the NRL in the prime of his career and would be a top target for several clubs.
While no clubs at this stage have been named, he’d likely be welcomed back at the Storm after the club lost Josh Addo-Carr to Canterbury.
The winger scored just five tries in seven matches for the Reds in 2021 as he struggled for consistency.
He scored 86 tries for the Storm from 111 games between the 2016 and 2020 seasons.
