The Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly turned down a trade request for Ben Simmons.
Detroit attempted to strike a deal for the wantaway Aussie that included All-Star Jerami Grant, 2020 first-round pick Saddiq Bey, versatile wing Kelly Olynyk and a first round pick.
According to Bleacher Report, the situation surrounding Simmons has not moved since July, with Philly still wanting him to return to the court for them while the All-Star and his management wish to stay away.
The Australian star has not played since last season’s shock playoff loss to Atlanta.
Philadelphia has maintained they want a top 30 calibre player in return for Simmons, as they look to push for a title this season.
The NBA’s trade deadline is on February 22nd and it looks increasing unlikely that Simmons will be moved.
The Sacramento Kings reportedly remain interested in striking a deal that would revolve around guard De’Aaron Fox.
