Scans reveal Stackhouse injuries
Following a nasty fall on Thursday afternoon at Kilmore, leading jockey Daniel Stackhouse was airlifted to hospital with leg and rib pain.
Stackhouse was aboard the Matt Cumani-trained Armansky in the fourth race before losing ground around the home turn, throwing Stackhouse to the ground and into the path of a number of runners behind him.
The Victoria Jockey Association provided an update on the hoop on Thursday night.
“Early scan results on Dan Stackhouse reveal left and right rib fractures, small liver bleed, small pelvis fracture.”

Group 1 stars return to the races on Saturday
The upcoming weekend of racing will welcome back several stars of the turf as the Autumn Carnival looms.

Currie extends Hong Kong stint
Following a trackwork fall that will see jockey Luke Currie spend six weeks on the sidelines, the 44-year-old has decided to extend his stay.
Currie is determined to stay and establish himself in the Hong Kong riding ranks after landing a winner on the David Hayes-trained Miracle Victory with his first ride.
