Huge MCG clashes to headline next block of the AFL fixture

The AFL will celebrate the return of Thursday night football at the MCG in Round 13.

Richmond will host Port Adelaide under lights on Thursday, June 9.

The following night, Essendon will face archrival Carlton at the same ground to mark its 150th anniversary, while the Gold Coast-North Melbourne game in Darwin has been set for some time.

The league will reveal the next block of fixtures this afternoon, with Rounds 12-15 to be locked in.

The Round 12 fight for prime time will be hotly contested between the Hawthorn-Collingwood, Melbourne-Sydney and Western Bulldogs-Geelong matches.

The Richmond-Carlton and GWS-Western Bulldogs matches in Round 14 and the Melbourne-Brisbane and Geelong-Richmond meetings in Round 15 are also expected to feature prominently.

Bicks drilled down on Adelaide's midfield mix, and Matt Crouch's spot in the side.
