An historic NFL match could reportedly be coming to Australia.
According to News Corp, senior US officials are exploring the possibility of the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Rams locking horns in Sydney in 2024.
The NFL is expanding globally with games to be played in London, Germany and Mexico next season.
News Corp understands that top-level talks are underway in America about Australia hosting an NFL game.
Gerard Whateley, who has called several Super Bowls for SEN, welcomed the prospect of a Cowboys-Rams blockbuster in Sydney.

“Proper blockbuster material. This is a bit of a dream,” Whateley told SEN’s Whateley.
“It feels very proactive. I hope it does happen.
“The Rams are trying to create that footprint in Australia. We are their designated international region. We were at the Super Bowl when that announcement was made.
“There’s some synergy building there. I hope it happens.
“An NFL game in Australia would be awesome. What a tremendous pity that it’s going to be Sydney rather than Melbourne.”
News Corp say it remains unknown whether the game would be a regular season or exhibition match.
The Rams are the reigning Super Bowl champions, while five-time winners the Cowboys are one of the most recognisable brands in world sport.
