Sportsbet has seen enough this season that they have gone the early crow with an early payout on Nick Daicos to win the 2022 Rising Star Award.
Following Daicos’ 40-disposal, three-goal, best on ground performance on Saturday against Adelaide, the leading betting agency made the decision to declare the 19-year-old as the winner.
Daicos is averaging 26.6 disposals, 402 metres gained and 13 pressure acts in what’s been a remarkable first year.
Sportsbet’s Josh Jenkins made the announcement on Wednesday morning.
“It's over, traders have said enough's enough, paying out on Nick Daicos to win the Rising Star,” Jenkins told SEN Breakfast.
“That is done like a Sunday dinner.”
Nick Daicos is currently rated a $1.02 chance with Sportsbet to claim the prestigious award.
