Carlton star Charlie Curnow has won the 2022 Coleman Medal following a career-best season.
Curnow, who signed a six-year contract extension with the Blues last week, finished the year on 64 goals, four clear of Richmond’s Tom Lynch.
It’s the first time in 121 years that two players from the same club have been the league’s top goalkicker in consecutive seasons after Curnow’s teammate Harry McKay won last year’s Coleman Medal with 58 goals.

Essendon pair Albert Thurgood and Fred Hiskins were the last to achieve the rare feat in 1900 and 1901.
Curnow kicked two goals in Carlton’s heartbreaking one-point loss to Collingwood on Sunday that ended the club’s finals hopes.
