Will Setterfield is expected to be at Essendon by the end of the trade period, according to multiple reports.
The 24-year-old Blue spent most of 2022 on the fringe for Carlton but played 13 games as a big-bodied midfielder. He's without a contract for 2023.
All up, he’s played 55 games for the Blues since being traded from GWS and is now destined for a third AFL club.
The Herald Sun’s Jay Clark is reporting Carlton – despite being open to keeping Settlefield – is now expected to let him go. A trade is likely to centre around a late draft pick.
