Report: St Kilda meet with Lyon again as hopes of return build

St Kilda officials met with Ross Lyon again on Tuesday according to the Herald Sun.

Lyon officially had a four-hour meeting with the Saints on Monday, with this latest encounter the second in as many days.

According to the report, Saints board members and Lyon spoke in person on Tuesday in hopes of sealing his return to the club.

While it’s believed that Lyon is yet to decide on his future, he looks set to have the opportunity to return to the club he coached between 2007 and 2011 should he choose to do so.

The report also adds that Lyon’s friends have urged him to return to the role if he still has a desire to coach again having been sacked by Fremantle near the end of the 2019 season.

It’s believed new St Kilda director of football Geoff Walsh will next speak with Lyon to discuss the make-up of the club’s football department.

Lyon is St Kilda’s second most successful coach having taken the club to three Grand Finals (including one replay) in his five years in charge.
