Blues excited by “hungry” and “different” Tuivasa-Sheck ahead of 2023 campaign

Blues defence coach Craig McGrath has spoken glowingly of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck ahead of the 2023 Super Rugby Pacific season.

The 29-year-old former Warriors and Roosters star is tuning up for his second Super campaign with the Auckland club having crossed from the NRL in 2021.

“Roger’s going well,” McGrath said on SENZ Mornings.

“It’s 12 months now he’s been in our game and it’s different, it’s totally different. He’s playing in a position that is different to where he was in rugby league.

“We as Blues coaches have seen a real different Roger from 12 months ago. He’s hungry, he’s the ultimate professional and he’s doing some really good things at training.

“We’re excited to see him go tomorrow night.”
