Round 1 of the VFL season is complete with the final three games taking place on Sunday.
The first clash of the day took place at Tramway Oval with the Swans and Box Hill Hawks meeting ahead of the AFL clash at the SCG.
Unlike the seniors, it was the Hawks who picked up the win 97-70.
After being delisted by Collingwood, Callum Brown had a strong hitout in his first game for Box Hill as he collected 30 disposals.
He was well supported by Hawthorn-listed players Ned Long (28 disposals), Seamus Mitchell (26 disposals), Cooper Stephens (22 disposals) and Denver Grainger-Barrass (18 disposals, 10 marks).
For the Swans, youngster Angus Sheldrick impressed with 26 touches while Aaron Francis was strong in his first game in red and white following his move from Essendon with three goals and 16 disposals.
Heading back to Melbourne, Richmond proved far too strong for the Northern Bullants at Punt Road Oval running out 104-57 winners.
Former country star Kaelan Bradtke was the star of the show for the Tigers as he booted five goals in his first game since joining the club as a Pre-Season Supplemental Selection addition, with all five coming in the first half.
Midfielder Jack Ross responded well to his AFL axing with 28 disposals and a goal while Tyler Sonsie was solid with 20 touches of his own.
For the Bullants, Liam Mackie was among their best with 28 disposals and a goal while Jean-Luc Velissaris found plenty of it with 30 touches of his own.
In the final game of the round, Essendon thrashed the UWS Giants 119-39 at The Hangar.
All eyes were on Jake Stringer as he continued his return from injury and the forward looked a class above with 22 disposals and a goal.

Nick Hind was the top possession-getter with a whopping 41 disposals while former first-round pick Ben Hobbs was everywhere with 34 disposals and two goals.
Up forward, Pat Voss was dominant with a bag of five goals, while former Cat Quinton Narkle kicked three and had 15 disposals as he suited up also suited up for the Bombers for the first time.
For the Giants, it was tough going with Kieren Briggs the best of the losing side with one goal and 17 disposals
Number one pick Aaron Cadman was kept quiet as the key forward kicked one goal from six disposals and four marks.
