Pickett turns back on free agency to finalise terms on new Demons deal

Kysaiah Pickett has pledged his future to Melbourne, with the electric forward signing a fresh contract with the club.

It can be revealed that Pickett and the Demons have finalised terms on a new multi-year deal that keeps the gamebreaker in red and blue.

Pickett’s decision to stay at Melbourne is an enormous boost to Simon Goodwin’s side, with the 21-year-old becoming the subject of widespread trade speculation over the last 12 months.

Port Adelaide were among the clubs actively pursuing the young South Australian, who became a premiership player in 2021 and has grown into an integral member of his side.

More to come soon.
