Round 14 of the VFL season is complete, with two games taking place on Sunday afternoon.
The first matchup was held at Heritage Bank Stadium, with Gold Coast defeating Box Hill 149-85 in a curtain-raiser to the afternoon’s AFL clash.
The 64-point win was hugely impressive from the ladder-leading Suns, given the Hawks entered the clash inside the top four.
Ruckman Ned Moyle (20 disposals, 51 hitouts) held sway at the stoppage all day while the likes of Connor Blakeley (one goal, 26 disposals), James Tsitas (one goal, 26 disposals), Brodie McLaughlin (five goals) and Alex Sexton (four goals) proved too much for the Hawks as senior bodies.

For Box Hill, young midfielder Josh Ward was huge with 38 disposals and a goal, while Cooper Stephens (one goal, 24 disposals) and Ned Long (18 disposals) battled well.
The final game of the round took place at Port Melbourne’s ETU Stadium, with the Borough defeating Essendon 91-38 in blustery conditions.
Top-five draft pick Elijah Tsatas continued to push for a senior debut with 21 disposals, while Nick Hind (27 disposals) and Massimo D’Ambrosio (25 disposals) earned plenty of it.
For the winners, Tom Hird, ex-Bomber and son of James Hird, was dominant with 27 disposals and a goal.
Port Melbourne will be thrilled with the victory, as it’s their first win since knocking off Sydney at home in Round 9.
