Guide: What’s live on SENZ the weekend of August 11-13

The smorgasbord of live sport gets off to an early start this weekend across the SEN and SENZ network.

With the FIFA Women’s World Cup quarterfinals getting underway, the One NZ Warriors are traveling down State Highway 1 to Hamilton for an ‘away’ game against the Wests Tigers, plus the English Premier League making its spectacular return – there’s plenty to choose from.

Can season two of Erling Haaland be just as magical for Manchester City? EPL fans will get their first taste when the season kicks off Saturday morning at the friendly breakfast time of 7am.

While the Tigers are bottom of the table, there is still a lot of admiration for them in rugby league circles around New Zealand for taking one of their home games across the ditch. Join SENZ’s dynamic duo of Sam Hewat and Tony Kemp for coverage from 7pm ahead of the 7.30pm kickoff. With FMG Stadium sold-out, expect a lot of noise, a lot of excitement, and maybe a cowbell or two.

Also on Saturday, the Matildas look to keep their inspiring World Cup run alive when they take on France. And keeping with the football, there’s a big clash between Chelsea and Liverpool overnight Sunday for those night owls who love their round ball.

Here is your live sports bible for the weekend of August 11 to August 13. Well, really, it’s August 14 because of the EPL – but you get the idea.
