Shane McAdam has officially joined the Melbourne Football Club.
The former Crows forward moves in exchange for a future second-round draft selection, with Adelaide relenting on its hope to get a player back in the deal.
McAdam requested a move prior to the trade period to join the Demons on a three-year deal, with the Crows understood to only be offering two years initially.
The Crows said the trade will allow them to strengthen their draft hand.
“Shane has been a valuable and popular member of our team in his time at the Club and we wish him well for the future,” Crows GM List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said.
“Securing a future second round selection for him further strengthens our draft hand moving forward.”
The 28-year-old has played 50 games since debuting in 2018, booting 72 goals in that time.
McAdam fell out of Adelaide’s best side for parts of 2023, managing just seven AFL games in 2023.
